At Springhall British Secondary School
Meeting academic challenges with openness, enthusiasm and a willingness to work through Teaching and Learning
We believe that there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning. (1) The teacher’s role is to act as a guide.
(2) Students must have access to hands-on activities.
(3) Students should be able to have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning.
(4) Students need the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment.
(5) Technology must be incorporated into the school day.
Therefore, we are committed to providing high quality learning through high quality teaching. We strive to achieve this by providing high quality teaching and learning training opportunities (both internal and external, rigorous assessment training programmes and opportunities for both staff and students, and on-going high quality feedback).

Curriculum Specialism/Business studies/ Enterprise day
Business Studies allows our pupils to relate their experiences within the real world to theoretical concepts!
Our students not only teach about the fundamental principles of Business Studies but ensure students understand the theoretical understanding to underpin it. This subject helps students to investigate and analyse real business opportunities and issues to construct well-argued, well-evidenced, balanced and structured arguments. Students also develop and apply quantitative skills relevant to business, including using and interpreting data.
Every year as part of our enrichment program students will participate in two days of activities, where students work on enterprise projects.
